Miker
I came to this forum to talk about film and related topics, not current affairs and the attitudes of todays world there is enough about it already without listening to you drone on about it.

You are missing out on a good thing Miker, a short film uploaded on to the site can have over 300 downloads in two weeks and even less.
If you don't like it why don't you try it yourself????????????????

And another thing Miker
BT DO NOT RUN THE SITE, they gave money to a company called OUT OF THE BLUE and and advertising and pr company called St Lukes
At least try researching something you are going to talk about before making judgemently views on something you obviousily really do not know about and have just read in a newspaper

You should just know what you are talking about before passing comment that is all.
Some people take everything they read as gospel

If BT don't run the site, why are they even associated with it??
Could they be waiting to cash in on the broadband revolution, have this whole back catalog of films that they have exclusive rights to??
Maybe not: http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/archive/17364.html
Some people take everything they read with a pinch of salt.
Some people, heaven forbid, have an opinion, which was the topic of this fucking thread!!!

Say for instance you uploaded a short film of your own, you have to clik on the agreement which stipulates that they will in no way make any kind of money from your work, blah, blah, blah, etc
They are doing for the 'young generation, apparently to give something worthwhile back to them
It's obviousily not your thing. But it might be for others.
Sorry if you were offended in anyway, wasn't meant to be

Perhaps you should read the blah blah blah bit too.
I confess, I have not been to the site, the proxy blocks it here.
If they really are offering something for nothing that is definitely good.
But, usually, if something seems too good to be true, it usually is.
